Ethapadam ("we", "our", or "the app") is a Malayalam movie guessing game available on Android. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

• Anonymous User ID: We use anonymous authentication (via Supabase) to identify your session. No email, name, or phone number is required to play.
• Nickname & Avatar: If you play multiplayer, you choose a nickname and avatar. These are stored locally on your device and shared only within multiplayer game rooms.
• Game Data: Your scores, progress, clues seen, and time taken are stored to track your gameplay and display leaderboards.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the game functionality
• To track game progress and scores
• To enable multiplayer features (room creation, leaderboards)
• To improve the app experience

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption. All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Your data is only used within the app to provide game functionality.

6. Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Game data is retained as long as your anonymous account exists. Since we use anonymous authentication, your data is not linked to any identifiable personal information. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

8. Ads

Ethapadam does not display any advertisements.
